Ranchi: A senior operative of the banned left-wing terror outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), Amit Horo, was reportedly arrested by a police team in Lapung area in Ranchi district late on Wednesday, police sources said on Thursday.

When contacted, Ranchi SSP Rakesh Ranjan refused to comment on the matter. Sources claimed Horo had been in a leadership role within the outfit in recent times. Notably, PLFI chief Dinesh Gope had been arrested in 2023.
Police sources added that acting on a tip, a quick reaction team raided a place where the accused was attending a social function and apprehended him. Horo, who was wanted in many cases, was on the run due to continuous police operation.
