Thane: Two persons were killed after their motorcycle crashed into a dumper truck on the Mumbai-Vadodara Highway in Maharashtra's Thane district, police said on Saturday. The accident occurred near the Mohili-Dugad stretch of the highway, where construction activity was underway on Friday, an official said.
Victims Identified as Wallpaper Installers
The victims, Jishan Ansari (20) and Imran Ansari (25), were wallpaper installers and were returning from work in the Ambadi area when their two-wheeler crashed into a dumper truck involved in construction, he said. The impact of the collision was severe, and the duo sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot, the official said.
Investigation Underway
Police have initiated a further probe into the incident. Authorities are examining the circumstances leading to the crash, including whether any safety measures were in place at the construction site.
