The UK government has reminded British pilgrims returning from Hajj to comply with Saudi visa regulations and leave the country within the permitted timeframe.
Embassy Message After Hajj 2026
In a message following the completion of Hajj 2026, the British Embassy in Saudi Arabia congratulated pilgrims on completing the annual Islamic pilgrimage and wished them a safe journey home.
The embassy also warned travellers against overstaying their visas, noting that violations could result in significant financial penalties and other legal complications.
"Make sure you respect your visa conditions and leave Saudi Arabia within the permitted timeframe," the embassy said in a post on X.

Officials advised pilgrims to check the latest Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) travel guidance before departing Saudi Arabia.
The reminder comes as thousands of British Muslims conclude their Hajj journey and begin travelling back to the UK following the end of this year's pilgrimage.
