Woman Stabbed in Huddersfield, Police Hunt E-Bike Suspects

A 30-year-old woman is fighting for her life after she was allegedly stabbed during a late-night attack in Huddersfield, with police launching a major hunt for two suspects who reportedly fled the scene on an e-bike.

Emergency Response

Emergency services were called to Topaz Close in the Fartown area shortly after 10:30 pm on Monday following reports of a serious assault. Officers found the woman suffering from severe leg and head injuries. According to reports, investigators believe two suspects attacked the woman in the street before escaping on an e-bike. She remains in critical condition in the hospital.

Police Investigation

West Yorkshire Police cordoned off areas near Sapphire Close and Aquamarine Drive on Tuesday morning as forensic officers continued examinations at the scene. Detective Inspector Sarah Bradley of Kirklees CID described the incident as “very serious” and confirmed extensive inquiries were underway, including CCTV checks and house-to-house investigations.

Police said early findings suggest the stabbing was a targeted attack and that there is currently no wider threat to the public. Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have seen the suspects riding an e-bike in the area before or after the attack to come forward. Authorities also urged residents with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to contact police as the investigation continues.
