Israeli drone strikes killed at least four people in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, according to local sources. The attack occurred in the village of Mayfadoun, where a drone first struck a car, killing two individuals. As rescuers and onlookers gathered at the scene, a second drone strike hit the same location, resulting in additional casualties.
The double-tap tactic, which involves a secondary strike targeting first responders, has been condemned by human rights groups as a violation of international law. The Lebanese government has not yet issued an official statement, but tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border remain high.
This incident marks the latest escalation in cross-border violence, which has intensified over the past year. The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has called for restraint and urged both sides to avoid further escalation.
