This action follows a drone attack that ignited a fire at the facility. The Abu Dhabi media office reported that the fire has since been contained, with no injuries reported. The Shah gas field, operated by the state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), is one of the largest globally, with a production capacity of 1.28 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day.

In a separate event on Monday, an advanced fire broke out at the Fujairah petroleum industrial zone after it was struck by a drone attack, according to the Fujairah Media Office.
