Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked from June 1
Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 30 per cylinder, effective from June 1, 2026. The revised rates apply to 19-kg commercial cylinders used in hotels, restaurants, and other commercial establishments. However, domestic cooking gas (14.2-kg cylinder) prices remain unchanged, providing relief to households.
Revised Prices in Major Cities
The price hike varies slightly across cities due to local taxes and logistics. In Delhi, the new price for a commercial LPG cylinder stands at Rs 1,830, up from Rs 1,800. In Kolkata, the rate has increased to Rs 1,935 from Rs 1,905. Similarly, in Mumbai, commercial cylinders now cost Rs 1,814, while in Chennai, the price is Rs 2,028.50.
Below is a list of revised commercial LPG cylinder prices in key Indian cities:
- Delhi: Rs 1,830 (previously Rs 1,800)
- Kolkata: Rs 1,935 (previously Rs 1,905)
- Mumbai: Rs 1,814 (previously Rs 1,784)
- Chennai: Rs 2,028.50 (previously Rs 1,998.50)
Domestic LPG Rates Unchanged
The price of a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains steady at Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 918.50 in Chennai. Subsidized cylinders for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries continue at the same rates.
This price revision is part of the monthly dynamic pricing mechanism followed by OMCs, which adjusts rates based on international crude oil prices and currency fluctuations. The last increase in commercial LPG prices was in April 2026, when rates were hiked by Rs 25 per cylinder.
Industry experts expect further volatility in LPG prices due to global supply constraints and rising demand. The government has not announced any changes to the subsidy scheme for domestic users.
