Background of the Author
Pushkarna retired as Commissioner of Customs, Central Excise & CGST in 2020 after a distinguished career in public service. He previously served as a Probationary Officer with the State Bank of India. He holds a graduate degree in Zoology (Hons.) and a law degree from the University of Delhi. His accolades include the World Customs Organisation's Certificate of Merit (2014) and the President's Award for Distinguished Service (2018).
Previous Works and Literary Journey
Pushkarna's earlier novels are My Red Butterfly (2016) and Celestial Bonds (2022). He began writing seriously in 2008, though he recognized his desire to become a writer around age 40. His passion for reading and years of preparation culminated in his debut novel in 2016.

Intelligence agencies and investigative journalists race against time, exploring the conflict between authoritarian control and the resilience of individual and collective memory.
