Hical Technologies breaks ground on aerospace facility in Hosur

Hical Technologies has officially broken ground on a new 160,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, dedicated to aerospace and defence production. The facility is designed to expand the company's aerospace-qualified precision machining, fabrication, and special process capabilities to support global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) programmes, according to a company release.

New facility to boost high-precision aerospace manufacturing

The new plant will complement Hical's existing electromechanical manufacturing operations and is expected to strengthen the company's ability to handle complex, high-precision programmes for international customers. The release stated that the facility marks the next phase of Hical's aerospace and defence manufacturing growth and will help address the rising demand for reliable, India-based aerospace supply chain partners.

Designed as an aerospace-qualified manufacturing centre, the Hosur facility will house precision machining, fabrication, and special process capabilities. Planned investments include automation, digitalisation, advanced manufacturing skills, operational flexibility, and sustainability. The facility is also expected to meet NADCAP certification requirements and other aerospace qualifications needed for global customer programmes.
