Rathi Steel and Power Limited (RSPL), a prominent manufacturer of stainless steel long products and TMT bars, announced robust operational results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company achieved a 30% year-on-year increase in sales volumes, reaching 28,372 metric tonnes, compared to 21,864 MT in the same quarter last year. Revenue for Q1 FY27 surpassed Rs 193 crore, reflecting a growth of over 24% year-on-year.
TMT Rebar Segment Drives Volume Growth
The TMT rebar segment emerged as a key growth driver, with sales volumes more than doubling from 8,295 MT in Q1 FY26 to 18,677 MT in Q1 FY27. This significant scale-up strengthened the company's product mix and enhanced its ability to respond to varying demand conditions across segments. The balanced approach across stainless steel products and MS TMT rebars allowed RSPL to expand its market reach and navigate challenging market conditions effectively.
Resilient Performance Amid Market Volatility
Despite an operating environment marked by adverse geopolitical conditions, volatile energy costs, and fluctuating demand, RSPL delivered this growth. The company's focus on optimizing the product mix and expanding its market footprint helped mitigate the impact of elevated energy costs and softer demand in select sectors. Going forward, RSPL remains focused on leveraging its diversified capabilities to capitalize on emerging opportunities while maintaining a disciplined approach to cost management in an evolving global environment.
