Dhuriyapar to Become Greater GIDA, Phase 2 Land Allotment Starts

The ambitious Dhuriyapar Industrial Township, one of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's flagship projects, is set to be developed as Greater GIDA, with authorities preparing to launch the second phase of industrial land allotment covering more than 400 acres. This development comes amid growing interest from major corporate groups, including Tata Power and Reliance Industries.

Project Overview

Spread across 6,876 acres in 17 notified villages, the township is being developed by the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA). It is poised to become the largest industrial land bank in eastern Uttar Pradesh. In the first phase, around 800 acres were acquired and developed to meet industrial demand, with over 100 acres already allotted to investors.

Second Phase Details

GIDA Chief Executive Officer Anuj Malik stated that Sector-5, spread over nearly 450 acres, has already been developed and the land has been allotted to two major investors. Development work is also underway in Sectors 6 and 6-A. With demand from large investors continuing to rise, the authority is finalising plans for another round of allotments.
