Green Gas Limited Accelerates PNG Rollout in Lucknow to Counter LPG Shortage

In a strategic move to alleviate the ongoing liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supply crisis, Green Gas Limited (GGL) has announced an ambitious plan to significantly expand its piped natural gas (PNG) infrastructure across Lucknow. The city gas distributor aims to provide 6,000 new PNG connections every month, targeting residential areas with established pipeline networks to ensure a seamless transition for consumers.

Current Consumer Base and Expansion Strategy

GGL currently serves a robust network of 1.59 lakh active consumers, with a substantial presence in key Uttar Pradesh cities. This includes 82,000 consumers in Lucknow, 75,000 in Agra, and the remainder distributed across Unnao, Ayodhya, and Sultanpur. The company's expansion initiative is designed to build on this foundation, addressing the pressing demand for reliable and continuous gas supply in urban households.

Official sources have confirmed that field teams will commence door-to-door visits in residential localities over the next ten days to facilitate new consumer registrations. This proactive approach is part of a broader effort to streamline the connection process and minimize disruptions for residents.

Multiple Registration Avenues for Convenience

To ensure accessibility and ease of enrollment, GGL has established multiple registration channels. Residents can visit the company's mother stations located at Ratan Khand and Vibhuti Khand, or its headquarters in Gomti Nagar Extension. Additionally, the registration process can be completed online through the firm's official website, offering a digital alternative for tech-savvy consumers.

General Manager RK Behera emphasized the urgency of the initiative, stating, "We are working on a war footing to expedite the rollout of PNG connections and mitigate the LPG supply challenges faced by households." This commitment underscores GGL's dedication to enhancing service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Customer Support and Contact Information

For further assistance, residents can reach out to GGL's customer care team via dedicated helpline numbers: 6390905003 and 6390905004. These lines are available to address queries related to registration, field team visits, and any other concerns, ensuring a supportive and responsive service framework.

This expansion not only aims to resolve immediate supply issues but also aligns with broader efforts to promote cleaner energy sources and improve urban infrastructure in Lucknow. By increasing PNG penetration, GGL seeks to provide a sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional LPG, contributing to environmental goals and energy security in the region.
