Isuzun Unveils Refreshed 2026 D-Max V-Cross Pickup in India

Isuzu Motor India has officially launched the updated 2026 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup in the Indian market, marking a significant evolution for this popular model. The new pickup is available in four distinct variants: Z Standard, Z Premium, Z Prestige Standard, and Z Prestige Premium, with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 25.50 lakh to Rs 30.28 lakh. Interested customers can now book the vehicle online or by visiting their nearest dealership, with deliveries anticipated to commence shortly.

Pricing and Drivetrain Updates

The 2026 update brings a notable shift in the D-Max V-Cross lineup, as Isuzu has eliminated the 4x2 option entirely. With the 4x4 drivetrain now standard across all variants, the entry-level model has seen a price increase of Rs 1.23 lakh compared to its predecessor. At the top end, the D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige Premium 4x4 AT variant now costs Rs 63,000 more, reflecting the enhanced specifications and features.

Exterior Design Enhancements

On the exterior, the Z Prestige trim receives subtle yet impactful cosmetic tweaks. The grille surrounds are now finished in black, while the fog lamp housings adopt a largely body-coloured design. The previous black cladding and silver skid plate on the lower bumper have been replaced with a sleek body-coloured finish. Along the sides, the wheel-arch cladding has been removed for a cleaner look. The Z Prestige variant rides on new 18-inch 12-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels, whereas the Z Standard continues with 16-inch steel wheels. Additionally, the outside rearview mirrors feature slimmer LED turn indicators, and at the rear, the chrome bumper trim has been swapped for gloss-black plastic.

Interior Upgrades and Features

Inside, the overall layout remains familiar but is enhanced with brown leatherette trim on the door pads and dashboard, adding a touch of luxury. Key features include a larger 10.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera for improved visibility, an eight-speaker sound system, electronic seat adjustment for the driver seat, a type-C charger port, and electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs. These upgrades aim to provide a more comfortable and connected driving experience.

Performance and Off-Road Capability

Under the hood, the pickup continues to be powered by the same 1.9-litre diesel engine, delivering 163hp and 360Nm of torque. It is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. However, the model is now offered exclusively in a 4x4 configuration, enhancing its rugged appeal. To further boost off-road performance, an auto-locking differential has been made standard across all variants, ensuring better traction and control in challenging terrains.

This update positions the 2026 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross as a formidable rival to competitors like the Toyota Hilux, combining robust performance with modern amenities to cater to the evolving demands of Indian pickup enthusiasts.
