Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Receives 2026 Update in Indian Market
Isuzu Motors India has officially launched the updated Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck in the Indian market. The 2026 model year update introduces minor cosmetic enhancements and an expanded equipment list, while also making a significant change to the drivetrain lineup by dropping the 4x2 option entirely. This move positions the D-Max V-Cross as a more focused off-road vehicle, with the 4x4 drivetrain now offered as standard across all variants.
Pricing Adjustments and Drivetrain Standardization
With the 4x4 drivetrain becoming standard, the entry-level variant of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has seen a price increase of Rs 1.23 lakh compared to the previous model. At the top end, the D-Max V-Cross Z Prestige Premium 4x4 AT variant is now Rs 63,000 more expensive. This pricing shift reflects the added value of the enhanced off-road capabilities and updated features.
Exterior Design Updates
The exterior of the updated D-Max V-Cross features several subtle yet noticeable changes. The black grille surrounds have been retained, but the fog lamp housings are now largely body-coloured, giving a more integrated look. The earlier black cladding and silver skid plate on the lower bumper have been replaced with a body-coloured finish, contributing to a cleaner aesthetic. Along the sides, the wheel arch cladding has been removed, and the Z Prestige variant now rides on new 18-inch 12-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. The outside rearview mirrors feature slimmer LED turn indicators, and at the rear, the chrome bumper trim has been replaced with gloss-black plastic.
Trim Levels and Variant Features
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross continues to be offered in two main trim levels: Z and Z Prestige. Each trim is available in ‘Standard’ and ‘Premium’ variants, although Isuzu has not detailed the specific differences between these sub-variants. Let’s explore the variant-wise features in detail.

Powertrain and Performance

This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. However, in a key update, the model is now offered only with a 4x4 configuration, emphasizing its off-road prowess. The inclusion of an auto-locking differential as standard across all variants further enhances its capability in challenging terrains.
