In a bid to allay public fears, the Karnataka State LPG Distributors' Association has issued a firm assurance that there is no shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in the districts of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar. Association President Urges Calm Amid Panic Buying
Mehul J Patel, president of the Karnataka State LPG Distributors' Association, addressed reporters on Tuesday, emphasizing that despite the international turmoil, the supply chain for domestic cylinders remains robust and uninterrupted. "We urge people not to panic," Patel stated, highlighting that many consumers are rushing to book cylinders out of unfounded fears of a potential shortage. He clarified that the current global situation, while creating uncertainty, has not impacted the availability of LPG for household use in these regions.

However, the scenario is different for commercial LPG cylinders. Patel noted that disruptions are being observed in the supply of cylinders intended for commercial purposes, which has significantly affected the hotel industry. "The situation is expected to improve from next week," Nanjundaswamy assured, suggesting that the current challenges are part of a cyclical pattern rather than a long-term crisis.
