Mahindra Unveils Premium XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition in Indian Market
Mahindra and Mahindra has officially launched the new Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe edition in India, marking a significant addition to its electric vehicle lineup. This special edition is strategically positioned above the Pack Three Select variant, which includes an 11kW AC charger, and carries a premium price tag of Rs 28.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The Cineluxe edition commands an additional Rs 70,000 over the base model, offering exclusive enhancements aimed at discerning buyers seeking a more upscale driving experience.
Exclusive Design and Cosmetic Upgrades
The XEV 9e Cineluxe edition focuses on cosmetic refinements rather than mechanical changes, delivering a more exclusive and luxurious aesthetic. On the exterior, it is available in two new sophisticated shades: Satin Black and Satin White. These premium paint options, combined with subtle styling updates, help distinguish this edition from the standard version while maintaining Mahindra's distinctive electric design language. Key exterior features retained include 19-inch alloy wheels, full-LED headlamps and tail-lamps, and a powered tailgate, ensuring a blend of style and functionality.
Luxurious Interior and Feature Set
Inside, the Cineluxe edition introduces a new dual-tone interior theme finished in Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black, creating an elegant cabin atmosphere. Despite the visual upgrade, the feature list remains unchanged from the standard variant, meaning buyers still enjoy all the amenities of the fully-loaded Pack Three trim. The updated cabin design extends across the seats, compact gear selector, two-spoke steering wheel, and sections of the door pads. Black leatherette upholstery is enhanced with brown contrast stitching on the seats and front centre armrest, adding a touch of sophistication.
Performance and Battery Specifications
Under the hood, the XEV 9e Cineluxe edition is equipped exclusively with a 79kWh lithium-ion battery pack, despite being based on the Pack Three trim. Mahindra claims an impressive maximum driving range of approximately 500km with this battery setup, making it a practical choice for long-distance travel. The edition retains the rear-mounted electric motor that produces 286hp and 380Nm of torque, ensuring robust performance. Acceleration figures remain unchanged, with a 0-100kph time of 7.45 seconds, providing a spirited driving experience.
Charging Options and Availability
Mahindra has not specified the standard charger included with the Cineluxe Edition. However, on the regular model, buyers have the option to choose between a 7.2kW AC charger priced at Rs 50,000 or an 11kW AC charger priced at Rs 75,000. Bookings for this special edition XEV 9e will commence from tomorrow, i.e., 2nd March 2026, with deliveries scheduled to begin from 10th March 2026. This launch underscores Mahindra's commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio with premium offerings tailored to the Indian market.
