Oil India Limited's subsidiary, Oil India Green Energy Limited (OGEL), has signed a strategic agreement with Hindustan Waste Treatment Private Limited to collaborate on bioenergy projects. The partnership aims to develop and operate waste-to-energy plants that convert municipal and industrial waste into renewable energy sources such as biogas and electricity.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in New Delhi, marking a significant step towards India's clean energy transition. Under the agreement, OGEL and Hindustan Waste Treatment will jointly identify, develop, and implement bioenergy projects across the country.
