SMPP Defence Firm Secures Additional 10,000 Bullet Proof Jackets Order for Paramilitary Forces
In a significant boost to India's indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities, Delhi-based defence firm SMPP has secured an additional contract for 10,000 bullet proof jackets (BPJs) for the country's paramilitary forces. This new order comes after the company previously received a substantial contract for 40,000 BPJs, demonstrating growing confidence in its advanced ballistic protection systems.
Expanding Protection for Security Forces
SMPP, a leading Indian manufacturer specializing in advanced ballistic protection systems, has been actively supplying bullet proof jackets to various paramilitary forces including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Sashastra Seema Bal. Of the total 50,000 bullet proof jackets ordered from SMPP, approximately 28,000 units have already been successfully delivered to the paramilitary forces. The remaining balance of jackets is scheduled for delivery in the upcoming financial year, with the company committed to meeting all contractual timelines and requirements.
