The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has unveiled The Leela Coorg Forest Sanctuary, the new identity for its recently acquired retreat in Coorg, India. The property spans 76 acres of ancient forests, coffee plantations, and rich biodiversity in the Western Ghats, reinforcing The Leela's vision of creating distinctive luxury destinations rooted in their surroundings.
Property Overview and Design
The IGBC Platinum-certified retreat is nestled within one of Coorg's oldest coffee estates. Its contemporary architecture blends with local Kodava heritage and craftsmanship, integrating mist-filled mornings, birdsong, and the forest canopy into the guest experience. The retreat features 71 spacious villas, including duplex, family, and private pool villas, culminating in the four-bedroom Sunbeam Presidential Villa overlooking the forest.
