Prayagraj District to Host Historic Pink Employment Kumbh on International Women's Day
In a groundbreaking initiative for the district, Prayagraj will organize its first-ever Pink Employment Kumbh this Sunday, coinciding with International Women's Day. This landmark event is designed to provide thousands of job opportunities exclusively for women, marking a significant step toward enhancing women's empowerment and fostering self-reliance across the region.
Government Initiative Aims to Strengthen Women's Employment
The state government has strategically planned this job fair to bolster direct connections between women and employment avenues. Assistant Director of Employment, Rajiv Kumar Yadav, emphasized that the fair will take place at the Regional Employment Office in Prayagraj, commencing at 10 am on March 8. Yadav described it as the largest women-centric employment event ever held in the district, highlighting its potential to transform local workforce dynamics.
Extensive Job Opportunities from Leading Companies
Over 4,000 vacancies will be available through 18 prominent private companies participating in the fair. Key employers include Siddhi Infotech, V5 Global, Mahindra Limited, Axis Bank, and JCB India. The salary offerings range from Rs 12,500 to Rs 33,000, catering to diverse skill levels and professional backgrounds.
Eligibility Criteria and Qualifications
Women aged between 18 and 35 years are eligible to participate, with qualifications spanning from high school and intermediate to graduation, ITI, diploma, BTech, BCA, and MCA. This inclusive approach ensures that women from various educational backgrounds can access suitable employment opportunities.
Broader Employment Initiatives Under Mission Rozgar
Officials noted that the Yogi government has been actively expanding employment avenues for youth through Mission Rozgar, skill development schemes, and district-level job fairs. In the current financial year alone, Prayagraj has hosted 43 job fairs, successfully providing employment to 5,976 candidates. The Pink Employment Kumbh represents a focused extension of these efforts, specifically targeting women's workforce integration.
