Lucknow Development Authority Unveils Rs 20 Crore Community Centre Project for Gomti Nagar Extension
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has announced an ambitious plan to establish a state-of-the-art community centre in the Gomti Nagar Extension area. This significant infrastructure project, with an estimated budget of Rs 20 crore, is designed to serve as a comprehensive recreational and social hub for local residents.
Strategic Location and Project Details
The proposed facility will be strategically located near Saraswati Apartments in Sector 4 of Gomti Nagar Extension. According to LDA officials, the three-storey structure will include basement parking and is primarily intended to benefit residents of River View Apartments and surrounding neighborhoods.
LDA vice-chairperson Prathamesh Kumar has instructed officials to commence the project by inviting requests for proposals (RFPs). The development will be executed through a public-private partnership model, ensuring efficient implementation and management.
Comprehensive Amenities and Facilities
The community centre will feature an extensive range of amenities designed to cater to diverse community needs:
- A spacious multipurpose hall with an adjoining lawn for hosting social gatherings, cultural events, and community functions
- Supporting infrastructure including a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area
- Accommodation facilities comprising eight rooms and two suites for short stays and guest lodging
- Recreational amenities such as a modern gymnasium, dedicated yoga centre, and indoor games area
