The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the results for the Class XII examinations for the 2025-26 academic session. The overall pass percentage across all regions stands at 85.20%, reflecting a consistent performance trend observed in previous years.

Regional Performance Highlights

Among the 22 regions, Trivandrum has emerged as the top performer with an impressive pass percentage of 95.62%. Southern regions continued their dominance, with Chennai securing the second position at 93.84%, followed closely by Bengaluru at 93.19% and Vijayawada at 92.77%. Delhi, represented by its West and East zones, also maintained strong results with pass percentages of 92.34% and 91.73% respectively, placing them fifth and sixth in the overall ranking.

Ahmedabad secured the seventh position with 90.60%, while Gurugram, Ludhiana, and Pune completed the top ten with pass percentages of 88.45%, 87.92%, and 87.32% respectively. Regions such as Ajmer (86.78%), Panchkula (85.73%), Ranchi (85.01%), and Guwahati (83.41%) also performed reasonably well, though they fell below the 85% mark.

Underperforming Regions

On the lower end of the spectrum, several northern and central regions recorded pass percentages below the national average. Lucknow achieved 82.21%, followed by Bhubaneswar (81.71%), Dehradun (81.42%), and Raipur (80.88%). Bhopal recorded a pass percentage of 79.43%, while Noida stood at 79.02%. Patna managed 74.45%, and Prayagraj recorded the lowest pass percentage at 72.43%.
