The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) is expected to declare the results of Class 12 and Class 10 board examinations next week, bringing an end to the anxious wait for nearly 15.28 lakh students across the state.

Expected Result Dates

According to sources, the results for Class 12 examinations, covering both science and general streams, are likely to be announced on May 4. The Class 10 results are anticipated to be released on May 6. However, an official confirmation from the board is still awaited.

GUJCET 2026 Results

The results of the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 are also expected to be published on May 4, alongside the Class 12 science stream results. The GUJCET is a crucial entrance examination for admissions to engineering and pharmacy courses in the state.

Last year, the board declared the Class 12 Science, GUJCET, and general stream results on May 5, followed by the Class 10 results on May 8. The announcements were made a day after the NEET examination, and a similar timeline is anticipated this year. NEET 2026 is scheduled to be held on May 3.

Examination Details

The Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations were conducted from February 26 to March 18 this year. A total of 15.3 lakh students had registered for the exams, including 9.1 lakh candidates for Class 10. Among the Class 10 candidates, 7.7 lakh were regular students, 19,825 were private candidates, 70,702 were repeaters, 5,386 were private repeaters, and 41,286 were separate candidates.

For the Class 12 general stream, 5.01 lakh students registered, including 4.4 lakh regular students, 35,174 private candidates, 15,813 repeaters, 7,873 private repeaters, and 5,147 separate candidates. In the Science stream, 1.2 lakh students appeared, comprising 1.1 lakh regular candidates, 7,690 repeaters, and 279 separate candidates.

The GUJCET examination, held on March 29, saw approximately 1.32 lakh students appear out of 1.36 lakh registered candidates.
