The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially released the schedule for the supplementary examinations for Class 12 science and general stream for the year 2026. This initiative provides a second chance for students who were either absent or failed in one or more subjects during the regular February-March examinations.
Supplementary Exam Dates and Eligibility
The supplementary examinations are slated to take place in the second week of June 2026. Notably, students who have already passed the examinations but wish to improve their scores are also eligible to apply for these supplementary exams. This allows candidates to enhance their academic performance and potentially secure better grades.
Online Application Process
According to the board, the application process will be conducted entirely online through schools via the official GSHSEB website. The last date for registration and payment of fees is May 14, 2026. The board has explicitly stated that no applications will be accepted in person or through postal mail, making online submission mandatory for all schools. Students must coordinate with their respective institutions to ensure timely submission.
The state government has waived examination fees for girls and differently-abled candidates. However, such students are still required to complete the online registration process to be considered eligible for the examinations. This fee waiver aims to promote inclusivity and reduce financial barriers for these groups.
Marks Verification for Class 10 Students
Meanwhile, the board has also initiated the process for marks verification for Class 10 students, whose results were declared on May 6, 2026. Students seeking rechecking of marks can apply online through the board's website between May 8 and May 15, 2026. Board officials have confirmed that applications for marks verification will only be accepted online, and candidates must pay the prescribed fees online.
