Gurgaon's Performance Drops

Gurgaon's ranking fell from 12th in 2025 to 18th this year, with its overall pass percentage declining from 87.5% to 81.9%. Education officers attributed this decline to growing academic challenges in schools, emphasizing the need for stronger academic monitoring, improved learning support systems, and better teaching outcomes. A Gurgaon-based teacher noted that stricter norms and greater evaluation transparency sometimes lead to realistic but lower outcomes.

Private and Government Schools in Gurgaon

Private schools in Gurgaon showed improvement, with the pass percentage rising to 65.1% from 37% last year. In government schools across Gurgaon, 13,292 students appeared for the examinations, of whom 10,898 passed and 1,796 received compartment.

Statewide Statistics

Across Haryana, out of 2,42,856 students who appeared, 2,05,618 cleared the examinations. Science recorded the highest passing rate at 90%, followed by Commerce at 88.2% and Arts at 82.6%.

This year's results highlight both achievements and areas for improvement, with a focus on enhancing academic standards and support systems across the state.
