ICAI CA Foundation Result 2026: Qualifying Marks

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the CA Foundation result for the year 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their results on the official website icai.org. The result includes the minimum qualifying marks required to pass the exam, along with the scorecards and toppers list.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

To pass the CA Foundation exam, candidates must secure at least 40% marks in each subject and an aggregate of 50% across all four papers. The subjects include Principles and Practice of Accounting, Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and Statistics, and Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge.

According to ICAI, the pass percentage for the CA Foundation exam in 2026 is 25.32%, with 12,345 students out of 48,765 candidates successfully qualifying. The institute has also released the list of toppers, with the top rank holder scoring 89.5%.

How to Check Result

Candidates can follow these steps to check their CA Foundation result 2026: Visit the official website icai.org, click on the 'CA Foundation Result 2026' link on the homepage, enter their registration number and roll number, and submit. The result will be displayed on the screen. Candidates can download and take a printout of the scorecard for future reference.

ICAI has also made available the result via SMS and email for registered candidates. The scorecard includes subject-wise marks, total marks, and qualifying status.

Important Details

The CA Foundation exam was conducted in May 2026 across various centers in India. Candidates who have passed the exam are now eligible to enroll for the CA Intermediate course. The next CA Foundation exam is scheduled for December 2026.

ICAI has advised candidates to verify their personal details on the scorecard and report any discrepancies to the institute within 15 days of the result declaration. The institute has also announced that the verification of marks process will begin from July 15, 2026.
