The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) results for 2026 on Thursday, ending the long wait for lakhs of students across the country. The results demonstrated strong academic performance once again, with pass percentages remaining above 99 percent in both examinations.
Top Performers and Achievements
Anushka Ghosh, who topped Class 12 with a perfect 100 percent marks, had also scored an impressive 498 out of 500 in Class 10, where she lost only two marks in English. Determined to improve, she pushed herself to achieve even greater heights this time. Speaking with the news agency ANI, she expressed her joy: "Today, when I saw my results, I got 400 out of 400 and 100 out of 100 in English, which made me very happy. My mother taught me as a child, and school was my second home. Everyone there was supportive and accessible. Everyone there always helped. I am currently preparing to study engineering," she said.
Overall Performance Trends
The overall results reflected a consistent trend across regions and schools. In the ISC (Class 12) examination, the overall pass percentage stood at 99.13 percent. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 99.48 percent, while boys secured 98.81 percent, continuing the trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts.
The ICSE (Class 10) results followed a similar pattern. The overall pass percentage was 99.18 percent. Girls achieved a pass rate of 99.46 percent, while boys recorded 98.93 percent, with girls again performing better than boys in both examinations.
