KEA Urgent Notice: KCET 2026 Verification Slip Problems

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important announcement for candidates who are unable to download their Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 verification slips. According to KEA, affected candidates should resolve the issue on or before June 19, 2026. The verification slip contains important details such as claim information and rank data and is required for the admission process.

Steps to Resolve Verification Slip Issues

Candidates can book an appointment through the official KEA website and visit the KEA office with their original documents to complete verification and correct any pending issues.

Why Are Some Candidates Unable to Download the Verification Slip?

KEA said that some candidates are facing problems downloading the verification slip because:

  • Pre-University Course (PUC) marks have not been entered
  • Document verification has not been completed
  • Required information is missing from the application
  • Some reservation-related details need to be updated

The verification slip was released on June 12, 2026.

Verification Slip Mandatory for Counselling

KEA has clarified that the verification slip is mandatory for admission to professional courses. Candidates will not be able to proceed with option entry for counselling without it. "Verification slips are mandatory for admission to professional courses before option entry. Candidates who have not entered their PUC marks or have not completed document verification may face problems downloading the slip," KEA said.

Special Instructions for SC Candidates

KEA also informed that some Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates may be unable to download the verification slip because they have not updated the new Registration Document (RD) number linked to their reservation category, such as SC-A, SC-B, or SC-C. Such candidates should update the required information through the online facility available on the KEA website.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates who need document verification must:

  1. Book an appointment through the KEA website
  2. Visit the KEA office in person with original documents
  3. Complete document verification and correct any errors

Candidates whose PUC marks are missing or those who need to update their RD number can complete the process online through the link provided on the official website.
