The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has officially announced the Class 10 examination results for the academic year 2025-2026. The results were declared at 4 pm on May 2, 2026, during a press briefing. Students will be able to access their provisional marksheets online from 6 pm onwards. A total of 5,61,979 candidates appeared for the examinations, which were conducted across more than 3,000 centres in the state from February 19 to March 2, 2026.

To check the result online, students need to visit the official websites of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. On the homepage, they must locate the result link and click on it. Then, they are required to enter their roll number and other necessary details, including the captcha code. After submitting the information, the provisional marksheet will appear on the screen. Students are advised to download and take a printout of the result for future reference. The online marksheet serves as a temporary document until original certificates are issued by schools.

Access Through SMS and Alternative Platforms

For students facing internet connectivity issues, the board has provided an SMS-based result service. Candidates can type OR10 followed by their roll number and send it to 5676750. The result will be delivered directly to the registered mobile number shortly after the request is processed. Additionally, results will also be accessible through DigiLocker, offering another digital alternative for retrieving marksheets.

Important Details in the Marksheet

The provisional marksheet includes key academic details such as the student's name, roll number, subject-wise marks, total score, and qualifying status. Students must carefully verify all entries to ensure accuracy. In case of any discrepancy, it is necessary to inform the school authorities without delay so that corrections can be initiated.

Passing Criteria and Supplementary Exams

To be declared successful, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in aggregate and at least 30 per cent in each subject. Those who do not meet these requirements will have the option to appear for supplementary examinations. The board will release the schedule and guidelines separately. School heads can download the tabulation register from the official website after 7 pm to assist in completing formalities for supplementary exam applications.

Post-Result Procedures

Original certificates will be distributed later through respective schools. The board has also made arrangements to ensure smooth access to results for all candidates, advising students to keep their roll numbers ready to avoid delays while checking their scores. In addition to the High School Certificate results, the State Open School Certificate Examination and Madhyama Examination results are also expected to be announced simultaneously.

In 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 94.69 per cent, with girls recording a higher pass rate than boys. A total of 5,10,779 students appeared that year. In 2024, the pass percentage was higher at 96.07 per cent, with girls again outperforming boys. The consistent trend of high pass percentages over recent years highlights stable academic outcomes within the state board system.
