The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has officially announced the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) second year results for the academic year 2026. Students who appeared for the exams can now check their scores and the overall pass percentage on the official website dge.tn.gov.in.
How to Check TN HSE 2 Result 2026
To access the results, students need to visit the DGE Tamil Nadu website and click on the result link. They must enter their registration number and date of birth to view their scorecard. The result page will display marks obtained in each subject, total marks, and pass status.
Pass Percentage and Statistics
The overall pass percentage for the TN HSE 2 examination 2026 has been recorded at 92.4%, marking a slight increase from the previous year. Among districts, Chennai has achieved the highest pass rate of 97.1%, followed by Coimbatore at 96.8%. The performance of girls continues to outshine boys, with a pass percentage of 94.2% compared to 90.6% for boys.
Subject-wise Performance
Science stream students have shown remarkable results with a pass percentage of 95.3%, while the Commerce stream recorded 91.8% and Arts stream 89.7%. Mathematics and Physics subjects saw the highest number of centum scorers, with 1,245 and 987 students respectively achieving full marks.
Revaluation and Supplementary Exams
Students who are not satisfied with their results can apply for revaluation of answer scripts. The application process will begin from May 10, 2026, on the official website. Additionally, supplementary examinations for those who failed in one or two subjects will be conducted in June 2026. Detailed schedules will be published soon.
