Coal India Limited has initiated a significant recruitment drive for young professionals, inviting applications for 660 Management Trainee positions. The online registration process will commence on May 12, 2026, and will remain open until June 11, 2026. Eligibility Criteria for Different Posts
Rajbhasha Posts
For Rajbhasha posts, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree (MA in Hindi) with at least 60% marks. Additionally, candidates with a graduation degree having Hindi and English as core subjects with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible.
Company Secretary Posts
For company secretary posts, candidates should have a graduate degree in any stream along with a company secretary qualification. It is essential to be an Associate Member or Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Selection Procedure
The first step in the selection process is the computer-based test (CBT). The CBT consists of two papers, each containing 100 objective questions, with each question carrying one mark. Paper 1 covers General Knowledge and Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, and General English.
There is no negative marking in the examination. Unattempted questions carry no marks, making accuracy and time management key deciding factors. The exam duration is three hours, designed to evaluate both conceptual clarity and subject expertise.
Application Fees
The application fee is set at INR 1180 for candidates belonging to General (UR), OBC (Creamy and Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS categories. However, SC, ST, PwBD candidates, as well as employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries, are exempted from paying any fee.
