Students seeking admission at Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU), Ajmer, for the upcoming academic session will have the opportunity to earn financial assistance while studying under the university's newly introduced Learn, Earn Perform (LEaP) scheme.
Financial Assistance Details
Under this initiative, undergraduate students will receive financial assistance ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 per month. Postgraduate students, on the other hand, will be eligible for monthly payments between Rs 5,000 and Rs 8,000. The primary objective of the university is to ensure that students are not confined solely to their academic curriculum but are also equipped with real-world work experience and professional skills.
Vice-Chancellor's Vision
Vice-Chancellor Prof Suresh Kumar Agarwal stated that under this scheme, selected students will have the chance to develop practical work experience and professional skills in addition to academic learning. He emphasized that promoting skill-based and experiential education in line with the National Education Policy is the need of the hour.
Work Opportunities
Selected students will be assigned work in various fields, including academic, research, digital, administrative, environmental, and creative domains. Opportunities under the scheme encompass research assistance, laboratory support, content creation, digitization, social media management, event management, documentation, horticulture, and office administration.
Selection Process
Students will be selected based on academic performance, skills, attendance, discipline, and interviews. University officials believe that the LEaP scheme will help students develop leadership abilities, work culture, and vocational experience, ultimately strengthening their employability skills and making them self-reliant.
