The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has issued a call for applications to fill positions for Young Professionals (YPs) across multiple departments at its Central Office in Mumbai. Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications via email no later than July 6, 2026.
Specialized Areas of Recruitment
This recruitment drive encompasses a range of specialized domains, including artificial intelligence, quantum technology, climate risk and sustainable finance, payment systems, financial markets, data analytics, policy research, and supervision.
Salary and Tenure Details
Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly stipend of ₹1.5 lakh. The engagement is on a full-time contractual basis. The initial contract spans three years, with a possible extension based on performance and mutual agreement. However, the total tenure cannot exceed five years.
The RBI has clarified that Young Professionals will not be considered regular employees of the central bank and will not be entitled to additional allowances or benefits.

Educational qualifications vary by position. Candidates with postgraduate degrees, professional certifications, engineering degrees, or research backgrounds in relevant fields are eligible. Available roles include:

All selected candidates will be posted in Mumbai.
