UPTET 2026 Answer Key Released: Key Details
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has released the UPTET 2026 answer key on the official website upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 can now download the provisional answer key and raise objections if they find any discrepancies. The answer key is available for both Paper 1 (for primary level teachers) and Paper 2 (for upper primary level teachers).
The UPTET 2026 examination was conducted on July 5, 2026, across various centers in Uttar Pradesh. According to official data, over 15 lakh candidates registered for the exam, with approximately 12 lakh actually appearing. The answer key includes correct answers for all multiple-choice questions. How to Download UPTET 2026 Answer Key
To download the answer key, candidates need to visit the official website upessc.up.gov.in. On the homepage, click on the link titled “UPTET 2026 Provisional Answer Key.” Enter your registration number and date of birth to log in. The answer key will be displayed in PDF format. Candidates can save and print it for future reference. Alternatively, a direct link is also provided on the website for quick access.
The board has also released the question papers for both papers. Candidates can cross-check their answers with the official key. The answer key is provisional, and the final result will be prepared after considering valid objections.
How to Raise Objections
Candidates who disagree with any answer in the key can raise objections online. The objection window is open from July 9 to July 16, 2026. To file an objection, visit the official website and click on the “Objection” link. You will be required to select the question number, provide the correct answer with proof, and pay a fee of Rs. 100 per question. The fee is non-refundable. The board will review all objections and release the final answer key and result accordingly.
According to an official statement, “Candidates must ensure that they submit valid evidence to support their objection. Objections without proper proof will not be considered.” The final answer key is expected to be published by the end of July 2026, followed by the UPTET 2026 result declaration.
UPTET 2026 Result and Cutoff
The UPTET 2026 result will be based on the final answer key. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% to qualify. However, reserved category candidates have relaxation: 55% for OBC/SC/ST and 50% for persons with disabilities. The cutoff marks may vary depending on the category and number of candidates. The qualifying certificate is valid for seven years for recruitment as a teacher in Uttar Pradesh government schools.
