Your skills, knowledge, and determination will shape the destiny of India," he stated.
Focus on Self-Reliance and Innovation
The governor highlighted the importance of self-reliance and innovation in the current global scenario. He encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries and become job creators rather than job seekers. "We need to make India self-reliant in every sector. The youth should focus on research, innovation, and entrepreneurship to achieve this goal," he added.
Gupta also appreciated the university's efforts in providing quality education and fostering a conducive environment for learning. He urged the faculty to continue their dedication towards nurturing young minds.
Call for Social Responsibility
In his address, the governor stressed the importance of social responsibility. He said that education is not just about personal growth but also about contributing to society. "You must use your knowledge for the betterment of the underprivileged and the development of your community," he advised.
The convocation ceremony saw the graduation of over 1,000 students from various disciplines, including science, commerce, arts, and technology. The governor awarded gold medals to top performers in different courses.
University's Achievements Lauded
Governor Gupta lauded SPU's achievements in academics and research. He noted that the university has been consistently ranking among the top institutions in the state. "SPU has set a benchmark in higher education. I am confident that it will continue to produce leaders who will make the nation proud," he said.
The event was attended by university officials, faculty members, students, and parents. The vice-chancellor of SPU presented the annual report and highlighted the institution's milestones over the past year.
