Patna University Holds Induction Meet for New PhD Scholars

Patna: Patna University (PU) organized an induction meet on Thursday for newly admitted PhD scholars from the humanities, social science, science, and commerce faculties, ahead of their six-month coursework. The program was held in two shifts at the Patna College seminar hall, with nearly 400 scholars in attendance.

Orientation and Faculty Introduction

Social science faculty dean Shefali Roy introduced the scholars to their respective heads of departments and senior faculty members. They were also briefed on PhD coursework rules and regulations, course content, research facilities across departments, and centralized university resources.

Key Address by Dean of Students’ Welfare

PU dean of students’ welfare Kameshwar Pandit urged scholars to maximize library and laboratory facilities for meaningful, socially relevant research. He encouraged them to publish findings in reputed national and international journals.
