Bihar STET Results 2025 Expected by January 5: Check Date, Time & Qualifying Marks
Bihar STET Result 2025 Date Announced: Check Details

The wait for thousands of aspiring teachers in Bihar is nearly over. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is poised to announce the results for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 this week, with the board chairman expected to make the official declaration by January 5, 2025.

How to Check Your STET 2025 Scorecard

Once the results are officially released, candidates who appeared for the examination will need to visit the board's dedicated portal, bsebstet.org, to access their scorecards. The process will require candidates to log in using their registered user ID and password. Alternatively, using their date of birth will also be an option to fetch the result.

The digitally downloadable scorecard will contain crucial details including the candidate's full name, roll number, subject applied for, marks obtained in the test, and most importantly, their qualifying status. Authorities have advised all candidates to keep a printed copy of this scorecard safely for future reference during recruitment drives and document verification processes.

Understanding the STET 2025 Exam and Minimum Marks

The Bihar STET 2025 was conducted across the state in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode between October 14 and November 16, 2025. The examination was held in two distinct phases: Paper-I for those aiming to teach classes 9 and 10, and Paper-II for aspirants of classes 11 and 12 in government secondary and senior secondary schools.

To qualify the STET, candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentage as mandated by the Bihar Board. The criteria are as follows:

  • General Category candidates must score a minimum of 50 per cent.
  • Candidates from reserved categories (BC, EBC, SC, ST, PwD, and women) need to obtain between 40 to 45.5 per cent, with the exact percentage varying based on the specific category norms.

It is critical to note that clearing the STET and obtaining the eligibility certificate does not equate to a guaranteed teaching job. The certificate primarily allows candidates to apply for future teacher recruitment drives conducted by the Bihar government. The final appointment will depend on subsequent recruitment processes, merit lists, and the availability of vacancies.

The Journey from Answer Keys to Final Results

Following the conclusion of the examination, BSEB took the next step by releasing the provisional answer keys for both papers on November 24, 2025. This provided an opportunity for candidates to review the keys and raise objections if they found any discrepancies.

The board kept the objection window open until November 28, 2025. After this deadline, the examination authority undertook a meticulous review of all the challenges submitted by the candidates. The final results, which are now awaited, are being prepared after incorporating all valid objections into the final answer key, ensuring a fair and accurate evaluation for all participants.

With the announcement imminent, candidates are advised to regularly check the official BSEB STET website for the latest updates and to download their scorecards promptly once the results go live.
