CTET February 2026 Schedule Revised: Exam Now on Two Days
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a significant revision to the schedule for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 session. In a recent notice, the board confirmed that the examination will now be conducted over two days instead of the previously planned single day.
Revised Examination Dates and Structure
According to the official notification issued on Monday, the 21st edition of CTET, which was earlier scheduled for February 8, 2026, will now take place on February 7 and February 8, 2026. This change has been implemented to accommodate the substantial increase in registered candidates and ensure better logistical arrangements at examination centers nationwide.
CBSE stated that conducting the exam over two days will allow examination centers across the country to prepare more effectively and facilitate smoother test administration. The board has confirmed that CTET will be conducted in two shifts each day, covering both Paper I and Paper II.

The complete examination schedule for CTET February 2026 is as follows:
- February 7, 2026
- Paper II: 9:30 am to 12:00 noon (2 hours 30 minutes)
- Paper I: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm (2 hours 30 minutes)
- February 8, 2026
- Paper II: 9:30 am to 12:00 noon (2 hours 30 minutes)
- Paper I: 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm (2 hours 30 minutes)
Important Instructions for Candidates
The examination will be held in 140 cities across India, and candidates are strongly advised to carefully check their admit cards for specific details regarding their exam date, paper, shift timing, and reporting instructions. CBSE has emphasized that candidates must report to their allotted examination centers at least one hour before the start of their exam, with strict enforcement that no entry will be permitted after the examination begins.
