Delhi CM Shri School Admissions 2026: Online Registration Process Commences
The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has officially initiated the online registration process for CM Shri School admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. The registration portal opened today, February 27, 2026, as confirmed by PTI reports. This admission drive targets students seeking entry into Classes 6, 9, and 11 across these flagship institutions.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Details
Prospective applicants must submit their forms exclusively through the official website, edudel.nic.in, before the deadline of March 12, 2026. The eligibility requirements are stringent and non-negotiable. Only students who are bona fide residents of Delhi and have completed their previous academic year (2025-26) in a recognized school within the city are permitted to apply. Applications failing to meet these criteria face potential rejection.
Seat Reservation Policy: A significant 50% of the total available seats are reserved for students who have passed Class 5, Class 8, or Class 10 from government schools in Delhi. The remaining 50% of seats are open to other eligible candidates who satisfy the residency and schooling prerequisites.
Entrance Exam Schedule and Pattern
The admission process will involve entrance examinations, with admit cards to be released at a later date. According to the departmental schedule, entrance exams for Classes 6 and 9 are slated for the last week of March 2026. In contrast, the Class 11 entrance exam is planned for May 2026. The DoE aims to finalize admissions for Classes 6 and 9 by April 30, 2026.
Examination Format: The entrance tests will be objective and OMR-based. To aid preparation, the official website will publish class-wise syllabus details and sample OMR sheets. The Class 6 question paper will be bilingual, while exams for Classes 9 and 11 will be conducted solely in English. Marking schemes vary: there is no negative marking for Class 6, but it will apply for Classes 9 and 11. The Class 6 exam carries 300 marks, whereas Classes 9 and 11 exams are each worth 400 marks.
