Dharwad Education Department Launches 'Jnana Sinchana' Phone-in Program for SSLC Students

The Education Department in Dharwad has officially launched an innovative initiative titled 'Jnana Sinchana', a dedicated phone-in program designed to provide crucial academic support to SSLC students as they prepare for their upcoming examinations. This program, which commenced on February 16 and will run through February 25, aims to bridge the gap between students and subject matter experts, offering a direct line for doubt clarification.

Program Details and Schedule

The 'Jnana Sinchana' initiative is structured to cover a wide range of educational institutions, including government, aided, and unaided high schools across the region. The program will be conducted on specific dates: February 16, 18, 20, 23, and 25, with sessions scheduled from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day. During these hours, a team of 43 subject experts will be available to take calls from students, addressing their queries and concerns in real-time.

Focus on Key Subjects and Student Engagement

According to SM Hudedamani, the Deputy Project Coordinator of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, the program will primarily concentrate on core subjects such as mathematics, science, and language studies. Hudedamani emphasized the importance of this service, urging students to actively participate and make the most of this opportunity to enhance their exam preparedness. "The focus will be on mathematics, science, and language subjects, and we urge students to take full advantage of this service," he stated.

Building on Past Success and Encouraging Participation

Officials from the education department have highlighted the program's proven effectiveness, noting that many students benefited significantly from a similar initiative last year. Nafisa Banu Dawalasaab, the Education Officer and SSLC Nodal Officer, reported that over 500 children utilized the service in the previous edition, successfully clearing their doubts and gaining confidence ahead of their exams. "Over 500 children called last year and had their doubts clarified, which helped them write the exam with greater confidence," she explained.

To ensure maximum student participation, the personal contact numbers of the subject experts have been prominently displayed in all high schools. Additionally, schools have been instructed to actively encourage their students to utilize this resource. The initiative is seen as a vital tool in reducing exam-related anxiety and fostering a supportive learning environment, ultimately aiming to boost academic performance and student morale during the critical SSLC examination period.
