A tragic road accident in Kadapa on Saturday claimed the life of a 20-year-old student from Kerala who was studying at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati. The incident has sent shockwaves through the academic community and beyond.

According to reports from the Chennur police, a group of six students pursuing bachelor's degrees in science at IISER-Tirupati had planned a two-day visit to Gandikota. While traveling from Tirupati to their destination, the group encountered a devastating accident on the Kadapa bypass road.
As the students negotiated a turn at the ISKCON Circle on the outskirts of Kadapa, a container truck struck one of their motorcycles from behind. The impact caused the pillion rider, identified as Nishitha, to lose control and fall under the wheels of the moving truck.
Immediate Aftermath and Response
Nishitha sustained severe head injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene before she could be shifted to a hospital. Upon learning of the incident, the Chennur police swiftly rushed to the accident spot to manage the situation.
The authorities then transferred the body of the deceased to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences for a post-mortem examination. In a somber follow-up, the police have informed Nishitha's parents about her untimely death, offering condolences during this difficult time.
