DAV Police Public School in Karnal Conducts Major Anti-Drug Initiative with Vedic Havan
In a significant community outreach effort, DAV Police Public School, located in Police Lines, Karnal, organized a 100-Kundi vedic 'havan' and anti-drug awareness program in Baloo village, Karnal. This event was part of the nationwide "No Nasha Nation" campaign, aiming to combat substance abuse through cultural and educational activities.
Student-Led Rally and Nukkad Natak Highlight Drug Dangers
The program commenced with a vibrant anti-drug awareness rally led by students, who actively engaged with villagers to sensitize them about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Following the rally, a powerful nukkad natak (street play) was performed, effectively depicting the social, emotional, and physical consequences of drug addiction. The play left a deep impression on the audience, reinforcing the message against intoxicants.
Spiritual Atmosphere with Vedic Havan and Collective Pledge
The highlight of the event was the 100-Kundi vedic 'havan', performed with traditional chanting, which created a spiritually charged and serene atmosphere. This ritual aimed to promote purity and well-being in the community. To conclude the program, a collective anti-drug pledge was administered, where students, parents, youth, and villagers pledged to stay away from drugs and actively work towards fostering a drug-free society.
This initiative underscores the school's commitment to holistic education and community welfare, blending cultural traditions with modern awareness efforts to address critical social issues.
