According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged by the victims, the accused students—identified as Kunal Singh, Pranav Pandey, Vikas Lahini, and Amit Singh, all BTech students—arrived at the hostel around 2 AM in two vehicles. They were armed with country-made firearms and iron rods and forcibly entered the premises after threatening the security guards at the main gate.
The attackers specifically targeted the rooms of Devesh Yadav, Ayush Tiwari, and Ayush Singh, who are all fourth-year LLB students. As soon as the victims stepped out of their rooms, they were assaulted, leaving them with severe head injuries before the assailants fled the scene.

SHO Jankipuram, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, confirmed that Kunal Singh has been taken into custody for questioning, and authorities are actively searching for the other named individuals. CCTV footage from the campus is currently under review to aid in identifying and apprehending all the accused.
