The board has issued show cause notices to seven students affiliated with student organizations ABVP and BAPSA. Students Served Notices
The seven students receiving show cause notices include four from BAPSA and three from ABVP. From BAPSA, the notices went to Amitesh Pal, an MA political science first-year student; Manas Rawat, a PhD psychology scholar; Akash Katheria, a BA-LLB final year student; and Ashwani Kumar, a BSc biology third-year student. From ABVP, the recipients are Vivek Mishra and Shivam Kumar Singh, both BA third-year students, and Pratyush Pandey, a PhD English scholar.
Strict Deadlines and Consequences
The show cause notices carry clear instructions and serious implications. Students must appear in person before the competent authority. They are required to submit written explanations within three working days of receiving the letter. The notice explicitly states that failure to respond within this stipulated time will be treated as having no defense. Following this, the university may initiate proceedings for their suspension.

LU Proctor Rakesh Dwivedi provided official comments on the matter. He stated, "The inquiry committee examined all aspects related to the incident at gate no. 11. Based on its findings, show cause notices have been issued to the students concerned, seeking their explanation as part of the due disciplinary process."
