Rajasthan Board Alters Class 12 Exam Timings and Implements Robust Security Framework
The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) announced significant modifications to the examination schedule for Class 12 on Friday, specifically adjusting the timing for several key subjects. According to board secretary Gajendra Singh, subjects including Computer Science, Informatics, and Drawing will now be conducted in the afternoon shift rather than the morning session as originally planned.
Revised Exam Timings and Dates
The exams for these subjects will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, a change from the previous timing of 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM. Singh confirmed that the Computer Science and Informatics examinations are scheduled for February 17, while the Drawing exam will take place on February 24. All other subjects will proceed according to the pre-determined schedule, which runs from February 12 to March 11.
Candidates are strongly advised to prepare in accordance with the revised timetable and ensure they arrive at their respective exam centers punctually to avoid any disruptions.
Enhanced Security Measures Across Examination Centers
In response to security concerns, the RBSE has heightened security protocols at all examination centers. This decision follows the identification of 51 centers across 15 districts in the state as sensitive. To safeguard the integrity of the exams, the board has mandated the installation of CCTV cameras and the deployment of additional police personnel at every center.
Singh elaborated on the stringent measures, stating that question papers will be securely stored in police stations and outposts. The responsibility for their protection will rest with the district collector, superintendent of police, and the exam conducting committee, ensuring a multi-layered security approach.
Proactive Initiatives to Support Students
The RBSE has established a 24-hour control room to address any issues or emergencies that may arise during the examination period. Students are urged to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to anti-social elements who might attempt to lure them with fraudulent schemes.
Additionally, a meeting of coordinators for the special flying squad was conducted on Friday, where they received detailed instructions to maintain the heightened security standards. This proactive step aims to prevent malpractices and ensure a fair and transparent examination process for all participants.
