The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has officially unveiled the complete examination timetable for the upcoming 2026 board examinations. Students across the state can now begin their strategic preparation for the Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) exams, with the dates firmly set for February and March 2026.

Key Examination Dates and Student Participation

As per the official notification, the academic calendar for 2026 is now clear. The Higher Secondary (Class 12) examinations are scheduled to commence on February 25, 2026, and will continue until March 30, 2026. Concurrently, the Madhyamik (Class 10) examinations will begin a day later, starting from February 26, 2026, and concluding on March 24, 2026.

This year, a significant number of students are expected to appear for these crucial examinations. Official data indicates that approximately 38,135 candidates have registered for the Class 10 exams, while nearly 29,943 students are preparing for the Class 12 board tests.

Practical Examinations and Subject-Wise Schedule

An important heads-up for science, arts, and commerce students is that the practical examinations for both classes will be conducted well in advance. The practicals are slated to be held from November 17 to December 1, 2025, across various schools in the state. This early schedule allows students to focus on their theory papers after completing their practical assessments.

The board has released a detailed, subject-wise schedule to help students create an effective study plan. For Class 12, the exams kick off with English and language papers on February 27. Major subjects are spread across March, with Business Studies, Education, and Physics on March 7; Accountancy, Biology, and History on March 13; and Chemistry with Political Science on March 18. The exams wrap up with vocational subjects on March 30.

The Class 10 timetable is similarly structured, beginning with English on February 26, followed by Social Science on March 6, Languages on March 10, Science on March 14, and Mathematics on March 19. The final exam for this level will be for vocational subjects on March 24.

Preparation Strategy and Final Steps

With the TBSE Tripura Board 2026 dates now public, students have a clear roadmap for their preparation. The release of the timetable well in advance is a strategic move by the board to enable candidates to manage their time efficiently and reduce last-minute stress. All examinations will be conducted strictly in accordance with the board's prescribed curriculum and evaluation scheme.

Experts advise students to start their revision early, focusing on a consistent study schedule that covers the entire syllabus. Utilizing the detailed timetable to prioritize subjects based on their exam dates can lead to a more organized and less stressful preparation journey.
