The program will culminate in a grand state-level celebration in Lucknow, bringing together exceptional participants from across Uttar Pradesh.
Participant Engagement and Activity Framework
Students from Parishad primary schools, upper primary institutions, and composite schools will actively participate in a diverse array of activities specifically crafted to nurture essential competencies. The curriculum emphasizes the development of robust communication skills, innovative creative thinking, and dynamic leadership qualities. A substantial budget of Rs 1.86 crore has been allocated to ensure the festival's successful execution and widespread impact.
Educational Leadership Perspectives
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh articulated the initiative's core mission, emphasizing its focus on forging meaningful connections between formal education and children's intrinsic self-respect and practical life skills. He stated that this approach is fundamental to cultivating confident, capable citizens who can contribute positively to society.
Director General of School Education, Monika Rani, provided insights into the operational framework, highlighting the implementation of a transparent selection process. This process involves dedicated nodal teams, experienced master trainers, and certified teachers working collaboratively to identify and mentor participants. Selected students will receive comprehensive online guidance and structured practice sessions to maximize their developmental outcomes.
Recognition and Special Focus Areas
The Bal Utsav will honor exceptional students, dedicated teachers, and committed associates through certificates, commemorative mementos, and formal commendation letters. Special recognition will be accorded to those making significant contributions to girls' education and special needs education initiatives.
A notable emphasis will be placed on the active participation of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) students, underscoring the festival's commitment to girls' empowerment through quality education. This strategic focus aligns with broader educational equity goals and reinforces the transformative potential of inclusive learning environments.
