UP Board Extends Class 12 Practical Exam Deadline (10.02.2026)

UP Board Grants Extension for Class 12 Practical Examinations

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has officially announced an extension to the deadline for conducting Class 12 (Intermediate) practical examinations for the 2026 academic session. This decision comes in response to reports that practical exams are still pending in several schools, and marks have not been uploaded online in numerous cases.

Revised Schedule and Phases of Examinations

Originally, the UP Board had structured the Intermediate practical examinations into two distinct phases. The first phase was conducted from January 24 to February 1, followed by the second phase from February 2 to February 9. However, due to delays encountered by various schools, the board has now provided additional time, extending the final deadline to February 13, as confirmed by TNN reports.

Directives Issued to Schools and Examiners

In accordance with the latest instructions, all remaining practical examinations must be completed within this extended timeframe. Schools and examiners have been explicitly directed to ensure 100 percent uploading of practical marks on the board’s official website by the same date. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh emphasized that this extension has been granted solely in the interest of students, with a clear stipulation that no further extensions will be provided under any circumstances.

The board has reiterated that conducting practical examinations punctually and uploading marks accurately is the primary responsibility of the concerned schools and examiners. This move aims to streamline the process and minimize disruptions for students.

Warning Regarding Delays in Mark Uploads

The UP Board has issued a stern warning regarding delays in uploading marks. It stated that if any student’s result is adversely affected due to the non-uploading of practical marks by the extended deadline, strict accountability will be enforced. Potential actions may be taken against institutions or examiners found negligent in their duties, underscoring the board’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity.

Guidance for Schools and Students

The board has advised all schools to treat this matter with urgency and complete the required processes without delay. Students are encouraged to maintain regular communication with their schools to ensure that their practical exams are conducted and marks are uploaded in a timely manner. Given that Class 12 board examination results heavily depend on practical marks, any delay could significantly impact the final outcomes.

This decision by the UP Board is designed to prevent inconvenience to students while ensuring strict compliance from educational institutions, thereby safeguarding the academic progress of all involved.
