Nagpur: As many as 138 candidates from Nagpur successfully cleared the Chartered Accountants (CA) final examination on Thursday. A total of 818 candidates from the city appeared for the exam, reflecting the rigorous standards of evaluation.
Nagpur Toppers
Leading the city's successful candidates was Dhiraj Pankaj Jagyasi, who secured All India Rank (AIR) 32 and emerged as the Nagpur topper with 421 marks. At just 21 years of age, Dhiraj cleared the CA Final in his first attempt.
Recalling his articleship at AKM Global, Gurgaon, Jagyasi described the period as both challenging and memorable. "With eight-hour office days and weekend studies, maintaining balance was tough. I studied three to four hours daily, sometimes more. This achievement is dedicated to my family and friends, whose constant support kept me going," he said.
Anaya Minal Sandeep Darwhekar emerged as the city's second topper with AIR 43, scoring 410 marks. Reflecting on her achievement, Anaya said that coming from a family of engineers, choosing the CA profession brought its own challenges. "It was a difficult journey that demanded consistency and dedication. The unwavering support of my family helped me stay focused and ultimately paid off," she said.
Naman Kumar Singh emerged as the third city topper. He described the journey as mentally and physically demanding. "There were times when I felt like leaving everything and running away. I revised every subject seven to eight times and studied nearly 13 hours a day during the final eight months of preparation," he said. Singh credited his success to the support of his parents and partner.
Urvi Pramendra Shah, the city's fourth topper, attributed her success to consistency and discipline. "Studying 12 to 15 hours daily, and up to 17-18 hours before exams, requires sacrifices. Meditation helped me remain focused, while my sister, who is also a CA, constantly guided me," she said.
City-Wise Statistics
According to the city-wise statistics, 818 candidates from Nagpur appeared for the examination. Among the 249 candidates who appeared for both groups, 31 cleared both groups. Additionally, 22 candidates passed Group I from the single-group category, while 49 candidates cleared Group II.
Official Remarks
Former vice chairman of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI, Julfesh Shah, said the results reflected the profession's high standards. "The pass percentage of around 14% for candidates clearing both groups reflects the emphasis on quality and competence. While I congratulate all successful candidates, I encourage those who could not clear this time to remain determined," Shah said.
