Announced in July 2024, ‘Alpha’ is notable as the seventh film in the shared cinematic universe and its first to be led by a female protagonist. Helmed by director Shiv Rawail, the project features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, alongside Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Principal photography began in July 2024.
The film's release date has seen several shifts. It was originally slated for a Christmas 2025 release but was later pushed to 17 April, 2026 to allow more time for post-production. It was subsequently postponed indefinitely after Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ claimed the same release window.
